In St. Petersburg, on the night from Friday to Saturday, a fire occurred in the Frunzensky district. An apartment caught fire in one of the residential buildings on Zagreb Boulevard. Eyewitnesses reported this on social networks.

According to them, the fire started after midnight in house No. 5, building 1.

“The apartment on Zagrebsky 5, building 1 is on fire. Firefighters are on the spot,” eyewitnesses signed the post and shared pictures from the scene.

The footage shows thick black smoke pouring out of the windows of the burning apartment. Judging by the pictures, people have not yet been evacuated.

Later, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in St. Petersburg confirmed the information about the fire.

“In a three-room apartment, in a room with an area of ​​15 square meters, there was a fire throughout the entire area,” the emergency department said in a statement. The Ministry of Emergency Situations also confirmed that no casualties were reported.
