During the IV International Exhibition “Innoprom. Central Asia” opened a trading house “Tambov” in Tashkent. Members of the Tambov delegation took part in the opening ceremony.

“The opening of a trading house in a friendly country will contribute to the development of economic ties between Russia and Uzbekistan,” noted Deputy Head of the Tambov Region Natalia Makarevich.

According to Tambov businessmen, the trading house in Tashkent will become a platform for active interaction between the business community of the two countries. They assess the prospects for the development of the Central Asian market positively, because products from the Tambov agricultural sector will be supplied to the republic. These are grains, legumes, vegetable oil, granulated sugar, flour. Uzbek partners, in turn, plan to supply vegetables, fruits, dried fruits and sweets to the Tambov region.

It should be noted that based on the results of the first quarter of this year, Uzbekistan is the leader in imports of Tambov agricultural products. The volume of deliveries amounted to more than 33% of the total volume of exports of Tambov agricultural products. Sugar is in greatest demand. Export of Tambov agricultural products is carried out within the framework of the national project “International Cooperation and Export”.

The Republic of Uzbekistan is one of the main trading partners of the Tambov region, mainly for the export of products. Last year, exports from the Tambov region to Uzbekistan more than doubled compared to the level of 2022 and 2021.
