In the Kaliningrad region, five highways have become the most dangerous roads since the beginning of 2024. Klops was informed about this by the regional traffic police department.
On the Kaliningrad-Chernyakhovsk-Nesterov highway, 13 accidents occurred in 4 months. Most often they fought near Gvardeysk and Chernyakhovsk. Next comes the Primorsky Ring (together with exits) – 10 accidents. The third most accident-prone area is the Northern Bypass of Kaliningrad, from the Kosmodemyansky microdistrict to the Berlininsky Bridge – 9 accidents. The list is completed by the route from the regional center to Baltiysk – 7 accidents and Polessk – 6 incidents.
According to the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate, in 2024 there were no hot spots of accidents yet, that is, there were no places where at least 3 accidents with deaths and injuries occurred. However, several points raise concerns.
In Kaliningrad, these are Leninsky Prospekt, 42, Gagarin streets, 108, Kyiv, 30, Suvorova, 110, Oktyabrskaya, 57 and Sovetsky Prospekt, 292. In addition, cars continue to crash on Shaturskaya, recently reconstructed according to the national project.
