In Tula, a transport company was fined for violations when transporting passengers

The prosecutor’s office revealed violations of the law when organizing the transportation of passengers in Tula. According to the press service of the regional department, the prosecutor’s office of the Zarechensky district conducted an inspection of the implementation of the relevant legislation by Transport Company Passenger Road Transportation LLC.

It turned out that, contrary to the requirements of the law on the protection of the rights of persons with disabilities, buses that were not equipped with audio, visual and tactile information about stops were allowed to carry passengers. In addition, the procedure for conducting transportation safety briefings was violated, and no analysis was carried out of the causes and conditions that contributed to the occurrence of road accidents.

Based on the results of the inspection, the district prosecutor made a presentation to the head of the transport company, in accordance with the requirements of which the identified violations were eliminated. An official of the organization was also brought to disciplinary liability.

According to the prosecutor’s resolutions, the head of a commercial organization was brought to administrative responsibility for evading the requirements for ensuring accessibility of transport infrastructure for disabled people (provided for in Article 9.13 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation), as well as for violating the requirements for ensuring the safety of passenger transportation by road (Parts 5, 6 of Art. 12.31.1 Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation). The total amount of fines was 22 thousand rubles.
