Tver FSB officers stopped the activities of a drug laboratory

More than 4.6 kg of prohibited substances were seized from illegal trafficking.

A court in the Tver region received a criminal case against a resident of the city of St. Petersburg, who is accused under Part 5 of Art. 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal production of narcotic drugs), Part 2 of Art. 228.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal acquisition, transportation and storage of drug precursors).

From May 2023 to January 2024, the man, being part of an organized group, was engaged in the production of prohibited substances. The clandestine laboratory was liquidated by employees of the Federal Security Service of Russia in the Tver region, over 4.6 kg of drugs and almost 29 kg of precursors, as well as high-performance laboratory equipment, were seized from illicit trafficking.

“The criminal case against the accomplices of the crimes has been separated into separate proceedings,” noted the press service of the Tver Region Prosecutor’s Office.

Previously, Tverigrad.ru wrote about the liquidation of a large laboratory for the production of mephedrone in the Tver region. During the searches, police seized 11 kilograms of mephedrone and more than one thousand seven hundred liters of precursors and chemical reagents used to produce the synthetic drug from illicit trafficking, the regional Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.
