The corresponding section of the future publication was discussed at Vyatka State University at the final round table of the development team.

At Vyatka State University, the marathon of weekly meetings of team members to update the discipline “Pedagogy” for students of non-pedagogical areas of training is coming to an end.

– It was important for us to get an open discussion, the maximum number of different points of view in order for the work to be of the highest quality and useful for everyone, – assured the vice-rector for education of Vyatka State University Sergei Nikulin, opening the round table on April 26.

This was followed by the now customary analysis of the feedback received from the participants of the previous round table. Let us remind you that the section “Didactics” was discussed there.

Director of the Pedagogical Institute of Vyatka State University Galina Simonova, moderator of the meetings, thanked colleagues from various Russian universities for their active work, lively response, important comments and suggestions. Commenting on the promise to make the future textbook more popular, Professor Simonova placed significant emphasis:

– We teach a scientific discipline that reflects the branch of scientific knowledge “pedagogy”, and must form a scientific picture of the world in students.
Pedagogy is a science. It must be remembered that in it, serious scientists have developed such concepts, theories and approaches that are important, among other things, for the formation of the civic consciousness of every resident of our country. The fact that our lectures are rich in theory seems to me quite legitimate. It is important to fill this material with such examples, experience and practice that would allow us to connect all this with the real life of each person. And pedagogy and psychology are exactly what are connected with the real life of every person, I would say, on a daily basis.

The key issue on the round table agenda was the discussion of the section of the textbook proposed by the developers based on an analysis of pedagogical disciplines in the country’s universities. This is the “Social Interaction” section, aimed at forming ideas about personal development in the process of socialization, mastering technologies for effective social and professional interaction based on the basic national values ​​of Russia. This definition was proposed by Professor Tamara Shchelina, director of the Arzamas branch of Nizhny Novgorod State University named after Lobachevsky.

– Today there is a request for such a section, so it is logical that it is included in the discipline “Pedagogy”. The “Social Interaction” section allows you to solve a number of problems related to the formation, preservation and development of traditional Russian values, – noted Tamara Timofeevna.

We would like to add that to date, over 20 Russian universities have agreed to participate in testing the developed teaching materials and teaching aids in the discipline “Pedagogy” for students of non-pedagogical areas of training.
