May Day, boat parade and juggler show

Parade of ships on the embankment

The river navigation season starts in Novosibirsk. In honor of this, a big celebration will be held on Mikhailovskaya Embankment. The program will be like this:

• 12:00 – parade of ships on the river and concert on the main stage;

• 14:00 — departure of the magic boat with a puppet theater (children’s performance “Journey on the Waves”);

• 15:13 – festive boating along the Ob with the ritual of initiation into river boats;

• 17:00 – excursion program on the water “Six Bridges of Novosibirsk” with guides;

• 20:00 – the last ship from which you can admire the evening lights of the city.

Jugglers show

The Podzemka Loft Park will host a gala show of juggling masters. They will be joined by light and laser show artists from all over Russia. It will be very beautiful. During breaks, you will be able to take a master class from the participant you like.

May Day in Central Park

Novosibirsk residents are invited to Central Park to celebrate the beginning of May. There will be a theatrical demonstration with concert ditties, gingerbread cookies, wooden toys and a field kitchen with buckwheat porridge on the menu.

When: 1st of May.

At what time: from 12:00 to 16:00.

Orchestra with Valery Gergiev

The Moscow Easter Festival will be held in Novosibirsk these days. A concert of the legendary symphony orchestra of the Mariinsky Theater under the baton of maestro Valery Gergiev is expected in the hall named after A. M. Katz. Performances are traditionally dedicated to memorable dates and anniversaries of great composers. This year they honor Rimsky-Korsakov, Mussorgsky and Glinka. Hurry up to join – there are still tickets available.

Letters of Victory

Exhibition “Living Letters. 1941–1945” is shown by the local history museum. About 300 letters from the war years have been preserved in the local fund. These include the famous triangles, letters on letterhead, postcards, and short notes. You can listen to some of them. They were voiced by actors from Novosibirsk theaters.

Little Jazz

On the eve of International Jazz Day, a gala concert of the regional competition “Jazz on the Ob” will be held at the A.F. Murov Music College. Young vocalists and jazz bands will perform their best numbers. Come with your children – they will definitely like it.

Children’s Photography Festival

The art museum exhibited photographs prepared for the international festival of screen culture “Human Cinema”. The authors of the photographs are children. They were asked to reflect in pictures about their city, yard, family, school, and heroes who live nearby. It turned out very insightful.

Festival “This is Mathematics”

In the youth space “Balcony” they will perform a mathematical action – they will gather guests and multiply them into a good mood. Participants will enjoy team games, an interactive exhibition with thematic exhibits, as well as a talk show “Mathematicians will tell: what happened next.” Get your A’s.

Exhibition about the Siberian folk choir

The local history museum hosts the exhibition “New History – New We”. It is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Siberian Russian Folk Choir. It was created in 1944 as the Song and Dance Ensemble of the Novosibirsk Radio Committee. The first lineup included 18 artists, including two accordion players.

Today the Siberian Russian Folk Choir is the official brand of the Siberian Federal District and the calling card of the Novosibirsk region. At the exhibition you can see photographs from performances and stage costumes. Part of the collection is being exhibited for the first time.

Tour of the exhibition “Your Move”

The Siberian Communications Museum offers information about board games from the early 20th century. Here they demonstrate chess pieces made of walrus tusk, Rococo cards, children’s dominoes in pictures, and a game of spillikins. Visitors will be able not only to view the exhibition, but also to play table football, hockey, basketball, billiards, Corners, dominoes and chess.
