From the beginning of 2024 the most dangerous car owners in the Irkutsk region, men accounted for 90% of road accidents among individuals.
This is one of the highest indicators in the country, say analysts from the VSK Insurance House. At least 14% of the total number of accidents occur in corporate fleet vehicles (taxi drivers, car sharing companies, etc.)
Most often, the culprits of road accidents were Irkutsk residents aged 30-39 years (28% of road accidents since the beginning of 2024 in the Irkutsk region) and 40-49 years old (21%). The average amount of compensation under compulsory motor liability insurance in the region since the beginning of the year was 91 thousand rubles.
The most dangerous days of the week, in terms of the frequency of accidents, in the Irkutsk region are Monday (17%) and Friday (16%).
The most common car owners in the region involved in road accidents are:
1. Toyota (30% of total accidents)
2. Nissan (8%)
3. Honda (8%)
4. VAZ (6%)
5. Kia (4.5%)
Among the most dangerous roads in Irkutskwhich accounts for at least 55% of road accidents in the Irkutsk region:
1. Baikalskaya street – 6% of all accidents in Irkutsk
2. Lermontov Street – 4%
3. Sovetskaya Street – 3%
4. Rabochy Shtaba Street – 2.5%
5. Traktovaya Street – 2.5%
Among the main busy roads in Irkutsk, the safest since the beginning of the year have been Piskunova, Krasnoyarskaya and Karl Liebknecht streets – the share of accidents that occurred on each of the roads does not exceed 1%.
