Roman Markov became executive director of the regional Union of Timber Industry

The former head of the forestry department of the Vologda region, Roman Markov, has been appointed the new executive director of the regional Union of Timber Industrialists and Timber Exporters.

As the Group of Companies “Vologda Timber Industrialists” reports on VKontakte, at the next meeting of the Union of Timber Industrialists and Timber Exporters of the region, issues of development of the region’s forest complex, changes in legislation regarding the control of wood circulation, and forest management were discussed. Elections to the Council were also held and a new executive director of the Union was appointed. It was Roman Markov.

“I now see the main tasks for myself as consolidating members of the Union of Timber Industrialists and Timber Exporters, developing proposals for measures to support the forestry industry and improving forest legislation,” Roman Markov told Vologda Region news agency.

Let us recall that Roman Markov headed the forestry department of the Vologda region in July 2016. He worked as the head of this structure until the end of January 2024.
