In Voronezh, the Department for the Protection of OKN issued permission for the restoration of the Zastavsky Pylon monument, which is located on Karl Marx Street. The facility should be restored by the end of summer.

Let us remind you that the “Zastavsky pylon” is a surviving element of the Chugunovsky cemetery. The gate appeared at the beginning of the 19th century. There was more than one pylon – the entrance was decorated with another such column, as well as an arch. During the Great Patriotic War, the gate miraculously survived, but then gradually began to collapse and by the 70s only one column remained.

The pylon was placed under state protection in the late 80s, but until the last moment there was no talk of major restoration. This time the pylon should finally be restored; the preliminary design has already been prepared and approved.
