Residents of a 10-story building in Voronezh’s Semiluki have not been able to wash themselves or cook food for a week because of the black water that flows from their taps. According to the owner of one of the apartments, the management company and the water utility are shifting responsibility onto each other, but the problem is not being solved. Photos and videos of an “oil field” in an ordinary bathroom were sent to the editor on Thursday, April 26.
The local water utility, TV Gubernia, said that the problem appeared after strong winds about a week ago. Then the pumping stations stopped working due to a power outage. The house on Kurskaya Street, 46A, is located below the level of the city water supply. The pumps there did not turn off, they continued to work and pumped in water with sediment. A representative of the water utility noted that the resource supply organization regularly performs its function of supplying water. Together with the management company, the water utility began cleaning the pipes.
The management company “TV Gubernia” said that the residents of the house have a contract with the water utility directly, so it is he who is responsible for the quality of the water supplied. The Criminal Code noted that this problem affected several houses at once. For their part, representatives of the management company have already written a complaint to the water utility. On Saturday, April 27, the management company and the water utility are going to start cleaning the pipes. During this time, local residents will have their water turned off.
Residents of building No. 46A on Kurskaya Street noted that black water had flowed from the tap before. This has been happening regularly for the past two years on weekday evenings and Sundays. Now the cola flows from morning to evening, and they continue to pay for it. The residents added that they addressed this issue to Rospotrebnadzor.
