On April 25-26, the Tomsk State University of Control Systems and Radioelectronics hosts the Radio Electronics Festival for the sixth time.

The VI Radioelectronics Festival takes place simultaneously at the sites of 16 Russian universities: TUSUR, MPEI, MEPhI, FEFU, Siberian Federal University and others. The first day of the festival at TUSUR brought together 15 companies and more than 150 future engineers – university students. The guys were able to informally communicate with leading employees of JSC NPC Polyus, JSC Element, LLC Gazprom Transgaz Tomsk, LLC OILTEAM Company, JSC OPKB Aerospace Systems, FSUE Mining and Chemical Combine, NPF Mikran JSC, Siberian Chemical Plant JSC, Motive Neuromorphic Technologies, Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant JSC, Novosibirsk Instrument-Making Plant JSC, Katod JSC, EleSi Group of Companies, RKK PJSC “Energy” named after. S.P. Korolev” and JSC NPP “Radar mms”.

“I’m glad that our festival has become a good tradition and new laboratories, enterprises, and universities are joining it,” said TUSUR Rector Viktor Rulevsky in a video message to the participants. “The festival venue in different cities of our country is aimed at uniting, generating interest, and introducing you to an industry that is actively developing today and that needs you: talented specialists, developers, engineers.”

The head of the scientific department, Alexander Medovnik, explained what radio electronics is for TUSUR from a scientific point of view.

“Our university takes part in several large federal projects, for example, in the Priority 2030 program. Moreover, of the five strategic projects that are being implemented within the framework of this program, three are directly related to electronics. The name of the Advanced Engineering School of TUSUR speaks for itself – “Electronic instrumentation and communication systems,” Alexander Medovnik gave examples. – A very large number of young guys are involved in our units. They begin working in laboratories at the earliest stages of their university studies. In TUSUR it is very comfortable and realistic to build a career as a scientist. But don’t forget about our partner enterprises, which form good competition for our graduates.”

“TUSUR implements many formats of interaction with enterprises, when during the educational process students undergo practical training, internships, find employment or implement some kind of project together with company employees. We are proud of the high level of training of our engineering graduates, which is confirmed by the high percentage of employment,” says Irina Trubcheninova, director of the TUSUR Career Center. – I am glad that over the past year the number of our partners in the engineering industry has increased. Many companies have recently come to the university to communicate with you, tell you about themselves and offer interaction. Today our event is dedicated to ensuring that we all get to know each other and find useful connections and contacts.”

Throughout the day, students had the opportunity to interact with each company and take part in a drawing of gifts from partners. Also on the first day of the Festival, round tables were held as part of the industry track, at which representatives of the university and industrial partners discussed issues of training engineering personnel.

On April 26, a competitive track takes place – about 100 talented schoolchildren take part in robotics competitions. Also on the second day of the Festival, a career guidance track will be held for future applicants, where they will be able to communicate with company representatives in an informal setting.
