On the morning of April 26, police along with emergency doctors arrived at an apartment on Anglisky Avenue at the request of a local resident that her 42-year-old son had deliberately poisoned himself with pills. Police officers helped bring the man to the wardrobe. At that moment, he suddenly grabbed a pistol from his jacket pocket and shot point-blank at the senior sergeant.
According to Fontanka, the policeman is now in the hospital in serious condition, he was operated on by neurosurgeons.
Earlier, the Investigative Committee showed footage from an apartment where a resident of the house shot at police. A criminal case has been opened regarding an attack on the life of a law enforcement officer (Article 317 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
