More than 2 thousand athletes from 33 regions will take part in the Chelyabinsk Paris Half Marathon, reports the correspondent of the Access News Agency.
In 2024, the event will take place for the eighth time and will become the largest in its eight-year history, organizers say.
“For the first time, the sports festival will be held in a two-day format. On June 1, guests and participants will enjoy an educational and concert program, and on June 2 – a sports program: races at various distances, Nordic walking and cycling,” commented the regional Ministry of Sports.
Over 2 thousand people – from one year to 70 years old – will take part in the sports program. The geography of participants includes 33 regions, from Kaliningrad to Vladivostok, as well as runners from Kazakhstan and Belarus.
In addition, for the first time in the history of the race, a ceremonial registration of marriage will be organized under the arches of the local Eiffel Tower.
