--

The “Primrose” campaign has started in the Orenburg region. The goal is to stop the destruction of plants from the Red Book.

The action takes place in Orenburg, Orsk, Orenburgsky, Pervomaisky, Saraktashsky and Svetlinsky districts, as well as in the Sol-Iletsk district.

Schrenck’s tulip, Russian hazel grouse, low iris, open lumbago (“Dream-grass”), spring adonis and other plants grow here. Their numbers are declining as these plants are uprooted.

For the destruction of rare plant species, fines range from 2.5 to 5 thousand rubles for citizens, from 15 to 20 thousand rubles for officials, from 500 thousand to a million rubles for legal entities.
