Burning of last year’s vegetation will be carried out on April 27 in the Sverdlovsk district: in the area of Chernyshevsky, 2a on an area of 1.3 hectares and Kayskaya, 64 – 0.7 hectares. The press service of the Irkutsk administration reported this on April 27, 2024.
Annealing is carried out to prevent spontaneous fires. They are organized daily in the absence of strong wind and precipitation. The work is carried out with the participation of firefighters and administration. The events will take place until May 3 – from this day a special fire regime will begin to operate in the Irkutsk region.
Residents are not allowed to carry out such actions on their own – administrative and criminal liability is provided for this. Uncontrolled burning can cause forest fires.
