On April 27, Smartavia Airlines began operating flights on the route St. Petersburg – Orenburg – St. Petersburg.

Direct flights from Orenburg Airport will operate on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Departure from St. Petersburg at 02:40, arrival in Orenburg at 07:25, departure from Orenburg at 08:25, arrival in St. Petersburg at 09:15. Time is local for each city. Flight duration is about three hours.

Flights to the northern capital from Orenburg are also operated by Rossiya and Northern Wind air carriers. Thus, in the spring-summer period it will be possible to fly from Orenburg to St. Petersburg up to three times a day every day.
