Irkutsk schoolchildren were taught to create strong passwords for social networks

An open lesson on ways to protect accounts on social networks was held in Irkutsk. It was held at secondary school No. 14 for fourth-graders under the “Digital Educational Education” project. The press service of the government of the Irkutsk region reported this on April 27, 2024.

Schoolchildren were told in cartoon format about cyber fraud and two-factor authentication, and were also taught how to come up with passwords that are difficult to crack. Project materials are available on the website.

In addition, a traditional open lesson from Rosatom took place on the topic “Journey to the Microverse: Quantum Computing and Medicine of the Future.” The lesson was conducted according to the “Numbers Lesson” project. More than 2,000 schoolchildren from all over the country joined the lesson online, including students from the Angarsk Lyceum No. 1, the Ust-Ordynsk boarding school, Russian Railways Lyceum No. 14 and the Irkutsk Cadet Corps named after P.A. Skorokhodova.

The guys learned about the use of quantum technologies in medicine, as well as professions of the future at the intersection of physics, biology and chemistry from leading Russian scientists working with quantum computing and biotechnologies.
