The mayor of Irkutsk was awarded the medal “For the Development of Local Self-Government”

Irkutsk, NIA-Baikal – A ceremonial meeting of the Association of Municipalities of the Irkutsk Region took place in Irkutsk.

It summed up the results of the regional competition for the title of the best municipal employee and the best head of the municipality.

Governor of the Irkutsk Region Igor Kobzev presented the heads of cities and districts with awards from the All-Russian Association for the Development of Local Self-Government (VARMSU).

“The President of the Russian Federation has repeatedly emphasized the importance of ensuring the personnel base of local self-government. It is the heads and municipal employees who are closest to the residents. They solve problems of socio-economic development and improvement of territories, creating comfortable living conditions. It is necessary to strengthen work with the population in order to better understand the needs of citizens and solve pressing issues as soon as possible, take all measures to improve people’s living standards,” noted Igor Kobzev.

The medal “For the Development of Local Self-Government” was awarded to the mayor of Irkutsk Ruslan Bolotov, the mayor of the Angarsk urban district Sergei Petrov and the chairman of the Association of Municipalities of the Irkutsk Region, the mayor of Cheremkhovo Vadim Semenov.

“Now municipalities have a key role to play. Local governments are a base that unites people for a common goal, regardless of social status or type of activity, said Ruslan Bolotov. “It was a great honor for me to receive the medal “For the Development of Local Self-Government.” I thank the co-chair of VARMSU Irina Guseva and the entire municipal community for appreciating the work. This award is the common merit of our team of like-minded people. Together we build our work in accordance with the vectors set by our President Vladimir Putin, the government of the country and the region, and Governor Igor Kobzev. We serve Russia and the common cause: the approach of our Victory.”

Vice-Mayor Andrei Yuzhakov was awarded a diploma of the All-Russian Association for the Development of Local Self-Government. Deputy Mayor – Chairman of the Committee on Budget Policy and Finance of the Irkutsk Administration Alfiya Valiulina was awarded the honorary title of VARMSU “Best Local Government Employee.”

“Today we summed up the work of local government bodies during the special military operation and assessed their solution to the tasks set by the President and the Governor. A new page has actually been opened in the history of the Association of Municipalities of the Irkutsk Region. I am pleased with the attitude of the regional authorities towards the problems of municipalities. Today we are working constructively, jointly solving the problems that time sets for us,” emphasized Vadim Semenov.

The head of the tourism sector of the department of investment activity and tourism of the committee on economics and strategic planning of the Irkutsk administration, Anzhelika Moskalenko, won the nomination “Urban planning policy, ensuring a favorable living environment for the population and the development of housing and communal services” of the competition “Best municipal employee of the Irkutsk region.” She presented the project “Development of tourism infrastructure in the city of Irkutsk.”

Also, heads and employees of other municipalities received certificates of honor, badges, diplomas and gratitude from the All-Russian Association for the Development of Local Self-Government, the press service of the Irkutsk administration reports.
