Construction of facilities on Sportivnaya and Nikolai Sotnikov streets was paused at the request of Gosstroynadzor
In Novosibirsk, at the request of Gosstroynadzor, the construction of two of the six schools being built under concession was suspended. This was reported by the TASS agency with reference to the regional Minister of Education Maria Zhafiarova.
According to the official, work on the sites on Nikolai Sotnikov and Sportivnaya streets has been suspended due to violations identified during construction, and therefore there is a risk of delaying the commissioning of these schools to 2025.
The construction readiness of all six schools being built under concession in Novosiirsk, according to the regional Ministry of Education, ranges from 14 to 22%.
“If the concessionaire fails to fulfill its obligations to commission educational facilities within the established time frame, penalties will be applied to it in accordance with the concession agreements,” Maria Zhafiarova clarified.
Let us recall that on April 17, 2024, at a meeting of the committee on budgetary, financial and economic policy and property of the Legislative Assembly of the region, the first deputy chairman of the regional government, Vladimir Znatkov, said that the regional authorities intend to terminate concession agreements for the construction of six schools due to identified violations and repeated postponements of the commissioning of facilities into operation.
