An explanation of all the movies and TV shows of Phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe

MCU fans have been saying that Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe felt a bit pointless in the franchise’s larger narrative, but Marvel Studios certainly made things right during Comic-Con 2022.

Kevin Feige introduced the next big story arc, dubbed the Multiverse Saga, and gave us a full look at Phase 5. But some viewers may be looking at the studio’s list of upcoming projects and have some questions to answer.

The tape will be the beginning of the fifth Phase, and is expected to reveal more of the mysteries of the Quantum Realm; this will be the first official introduction of Jonathan Majors as Kang the Conqueror (the big villain of the entire saga) and the debut of a new young hero. Scott Lang’s daughter Cassie (Kathryn Newton) will also be wearing the costume.

There’s still a lot we don’t know about the plot. “Ant-Man 3”. It’s only with the introduction of Kang that there’s a whole potential line of alternate villain personalities that could end up anywhere in the MCU. MODOK will be another major Marvel villain introduced in the film, so it will certainly be an important part of the story.

Secret Invasion

Release Date: Spring 2023

This Disney+ spy series will focus on Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) as he uncovers a conspiracy of shape-shifting factions of the Skrull alien race. The show’s title is a reference to a major Marvel Comics story arc that revealed that key heroes and government officials have been undercover Skrull agents for years to stage a planet-wide coup.

It is clear that the adaptation Secret Invasion within the MCU could shake things up just as well, from the situation on Earth to what’s going on in space. The show should lay the foundation for a movie comic “Marvels”, which will be released a little later.

Guardians of the galaxy. Part 3 (Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 3)

Release Date: May 5, 2023

With this film, James Gunn will complete his Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy – and he, and the cast, and crew are unequivocally indicating that this will be the finale. The triquel will feature Adam Warlock (Will Poulter) and the High Evolutionary (Chakwudi Iwuji).

It doesn’t matter who lives or who dies “Guardians of the Galaxy 3” sure to hit right in the hearts of the audience.

Echo (Echo)

The supernatural side of the Marvel Cinematic Universe teased in post-credits scenes “Moon Knight” and “Eternal”but “Blade” is a film that will really open the doors to all of this. The Mahershala Ali tape could be a key dark horse, the meaning of which we can’t fully understand yet.

Agatha: Coven of Chaos (Agatha: Coven of Chaos)

Release date: winter 2023 – 2024.

The series about Agatha “WandaVision” got a new subtitle “Coven of Chaos”and that certainly means a lot. While “Blade” will open the door to the supernatural, witches of the MCU, the show will continue to illuminate magic in the MCU.

The First Avenger: New World Order (Captain America: New World Order)

Release Date: May 3, 2024

Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) has taken on the shield and mantle, but it looks like the timing could be pretty unfortunate. In the comics, the New World Order was founded by the Red Skull as part of a conspiracy to take over the world. Since then, there have been plenty of similar stories in the Marvel lore that could be adapted for a new Captain America movie. Either way, it looks like Sam will find out that some really terrible (peace threatening) things are happening in the world.

Thunderbolts

Release Date: July 26, 2024

The end of Phase 5 of the MCU will be “Thunderbolts”. The tape is based on a line of comics that introduced a team of villains posing as heroes (it was a response to “Suicide Squad”). Considering all projects of the Phase, “Thunderbolts” make you wonder if the story will end with a new world order in which villains will rule and heroes will be on the run.
