Say Mo presented a new creative experiment – she remade the Kazakh folk song “Kamazhay” in hip-hop style. The performer presented an excerpt of the track on Instagram, NUR.KZ reports.
A short video for a new version of the popular song Say Mo was filmed right in the recording studio. Under the modern beats and confident rapping of the hip-hop performer, you can hear the familiar motifs of “Kamajay”, after which the chorus sounds.
Having published the text of new hip-hop verses in Kazakh, the artist asked fans for their opinions.
“How do you like it? Are we releasing?” – reads the caption for the publication. The fans were absolutely delighted.
“Mo, can I have a whole album of remakes, please?”, “Zhanym, gorgeous,” “Fire”– Netizens left dozens of similar responses in the comments under the video.
