Moscow. 26 of May. INTERFAX.RU – Former US President Donald Trump said that Republican Governor Ron DeSantis, who announced his participation in the presidential race, had an unsuccessful launch of the election campaign.
“I think he had a rough start,” Trump told NewsNation, commenting on the launch of the DeSantis campaign on Twitter Spaces.
According to the former US President, his results in pre-election polls are good despite the decision of DeSantis to participate in the US Republican Party primaries.
“All the polls show that I have very good results,” Trump said.
Earlier on social media, Trump called DeSantis’ announcement of the campaign a “disaster”.
American media noted that during the broadcast with the participation of DeSantis on Twitter Spaces, there were technical problems.
In addition to Trump and DeSantis, several people have already announced their intention to compete for the Republican presidential nomination, including Republican Senator Tim Scott from South Carolina, former US Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley, and former Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson.
