On the night of May 26, the Russian military attacked Ukraine with strategic aviation, including Kyiv and the region. The KGVA spoke about the effectiveness of the air defense work that night.
As the head of the KGVA Sergei Popko noted, they had previously managed to destroy all the cruise missiles launched by the enemy. The Russian invaders beat them from the waters of the Caspian Sea from Tu-95MS strategic bombers.

Another air attack on Kyiv – the 13th in a row since the beginning of May! And, as usual, at night. This time the attack was carried out by Tu-95MS strategic bombers from the Caspian region, probably by X-101/555 cruise missiles.

According to preliminary information, managed to shoot down all the whole enemy in the airspace over the capital. At the same time, the head of the KGVA urged to wait for the final report on the work of air defense from the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The head of the KGVA once again thanked the Ukrainian air defense for the saved lives. Sergiy Popko also reminded the residents of Kyiv what they need strictly follow the safety rules during an air raid. As soon as the sirens are heard – immediately go to the shelter. This could save your life.
At 06:49, the information about the missile attack was updated in the KGVA. According to Sergei Popko, recorded damage to the roof of one of the shopping and entertainment centers in the Obolonsky district. Fortunately, there was no fire or critical damage.
In addition, in another part of the region parked cars were damaged.
Also debris falling on a private house was recorded in the Shevchenko district. As a result, the roof and window were damaged. According to preliminary information, there were no casualties.
Note that on the night of May 25, the Russians carried out a massive attack with kamikaze drones. According to available information, the enemy fired 36 “Shaheds” at once.
