Russian troops launched a missile strike on Odessa. Part of the city was left without electricity

Russian troops again launched missiles at Odessa on the morning of April 24. As a result of the missile strike, the head of the regional military administration Oleg Kiper said, about 30 buildings were damaged by the blast wave. At least one victim is known – a 43-year-old woman was hospitalized in a moderate condition, the head of the region wrote in the telegram channel.

Emergency services are eliminating the consequences of the shelling, Kiper said, without further specifying details. RBC-Ukraine reports that after the missile attack, part of Odessa was left without electricity. Suspilne, citing its correspondent in Odessa, writes that smoke is rising over the city.

Russian troops constantly strike at Odessa, including at port infrastructure and energy infrastructure facilities. Thus, on the night of April 23, Odessa was attacked with attack drones, nine people were injured.

In the spring of 2024, Western media noted, the Russian military changed tactics, beginning to more intensively strike at the Ukrainian energy system, choosing as targets objects located in regions less protected by missile defense systems.
