Many people underestimate dietary fiber
Dietary fiber is an important but underappreciated part of the fight against hypertension.
“Our study highlights the evidence supporting the effectiveness of dietary fiber in lowering blood pressure and reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease,” the scientists said.
Increasing the amount of fiber in the diet leads to lower blood pressure, which will be beneficial in the fight against hypertension. Women with this condition are recommended to eat more than 28 grams of fiber per day, and men more than 38 grams of fiber.
