“We are not saying that Kazakhstan or any other country should make a specific choice and choose Russia as a partner, or China as its trading partner. We do not force you to make this choice or, for example, not to choose RF. We ask you to conduct trade relations with us as well. This is exactly the choice we want you to make,” Cameron told reporters in Astana after talks with his Kazakh counterpart Murat Nurtleu.
He emphasized that England would like to be a partner of Kazakhstan.
“We want to be your partner, your education partner, your business strengthening partner… You have this choice, you can become our partner. And that’s why we are holding these meetings today,” he added.
During the visit, the foreign ministers of Kazakhstan and Great Britain, Murat Nurtleu and David Cameron, signed an agreement on strategic partnership, trade and cooperation.
According to the British Embassy, the document will provide a legal basis for developing bilateral cooperation in an even wider range of areas, including education, critical minerals, climate change, finance and business environment, defense and security, science and technology, culture, and people-to-people connections. .
