Match TV presenter and commentator Dmitry Guberniev believes that Lokomotiv can fight with Zenit if they continue to play as they did in the match with PARI NN.
On Wednesday, Lokomotiv defeated PARI NN away in the match of the rescheduled 21st round of the WORLD RPL – 3:2. The Muscovites were losing with a score of 0:2 until the 75th minute, conceding both goals from the penalty spot. The visitors scored the second and third goals in added time to the second half.
— Lokomotiv often lost points at the end, but today the team showed enthusiasm in the last minutes. If the team fights like this and converts chances, then Zenit will not be happy either. And I’m not even talking about Spartak and CSKA. Down and Out trouble started. Lokomotiv showed that the team has the will to win. Today they needed to buck up and they did. Let’s hope that this shake-up will help the team move on and gain points in the dispute for the top three,” Guberniev told Match TV.
Lokomotiv scored 41 points and moved up to fourth place in the standings. The team will play the next match against Spartak as part of the 26th round of the MIR RPL, the game will take place on April 28 on the “red-white” field.
