In the Abatsky district of the Tyumen region, a leak was discovered in the dam along which the P-402 highway Tyumen – Yalutorovsk – Ishim – Omsk passes. It was noticed by employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the road service, thanks to which they managed to prevent a breakthrough, reports the information center of the government of the Tyumen region.
“In the Tyumen region, a dam break was prevented. In the Abatsky district, while jointly patrolling the dam along which the Tyumen-Omsk federal highway passes, employees of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations and the road service discovered a leak,” the department’s telegram channel says.
Within a few hours, rescuers were able to fill up and strengthen the weak spot. Now the leak has been fixed, the water is being pumped out, and reverse traffic has been organized on the highway.
Near the Tyumen village of Abatskoye, the water level in the Ishim River rose to 1056 centimeters. The water level rose by 137 centimeters in 12 hours.
