Russian troops may attack Ukraine with missiles and drones on the eve of receiving assistance from the United States, Ilya Yevlash, spokesman for the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, said during an information telethon.
“The enemy is insidious and we must be prepared for any development of events. In particular, for a massive attack before the arrival of international assistance from our partners. This has been stated by a number of international organizations, the Institute for the Study of War, so we cannot exclude the possibility that the enemy will use its drones and missiles to terrorize our population,” Yevlash said.
At the same time, he added that this night was relatively calm for Ukraine. But in the morning the occupiers launched a rocket into the Cherkasy region.
“The enemy did not use massive combined attacks, did not use Shaheds. Only in the morning the enemy used one missile, previously it was an Iskander-K, against the city of Smela, Cherkasy region. Civil infrastructure there was damaged, logistics railway connections, administrative buildings and civil property,” Yevlash said.
