On the night of September 2, Valve added a battle pass to Dota 2 dedicated to The International 2022. However, users from Russia still cannot buy it using the usual payment methods. We tell you how to get the Battle Pass 2022 bypassing the restrictions.

Battle Pass 2022 Cost

Despite all the restrictions for Russian residents on Steam, Valve did not abandon regional prices in this country. For this reason, the basic version of the Battle Pass 2022 will cost only ₽385. However, giving a battle pass to all your friends at such a low price for the sake of in-game rewards will not work: Dota 2 developers prudently increased the cost of a regular gift set to ₽625. However, other sets do not have this problem.

Battle Pass 2022 prices and tiers:

  • regular Battle Pass 2022 — ₽385 (or ₽625 when purchased as a gift);
  • Battle Pass 2022 and 50 levels — ₽1,830;
  • Battle Pass 2022 and 100 levels — ₽2,820;
  • 5 levels — ₽155;
  • 11 levels — ₽312;
  • 24 levels — ₽625.

Method number 1: selling skins and cards

If you only plan to purchase the regular Battle Pass 2022, the easiest way is to sell off the skins and cards you have in your Steam inventory. Items worth ₽385 are likely to be found in every active player in Dota 2 and especially CS:GO. If necessary, the missing funds can be earned by collecting and selling cards that have not yet been received in other games – a list of such titles in your library is available in the “Badges” section in your profile.

The only problem is that this method is common not only among users from Russia. After the release of Battle Pass 2022, Dota 2 items dropped in price as many players decided to sell them as soon as possible in order to start leveling up the battle pass as soon as possible. For this reason, it is more profitable to list skins from other titles on the Marketplace.

If over the past months all the items in the inventory have already been “eaten” by sales and spontaneous purchases, you can try to look at other digital markets where skins can be purchased using the usual payment methods. Further, the scheme is no different: we get the purchased items and put them on the Marketplace. Of the minuses – the chance to run into scammers, losses on commissions and potential delays in the transfer and sale of skins.

Method #2: Top up your Steam Wallet

Luckily for those who don’t want to fiddle around with items, Valve’s restrictions in Russia can be bypassed in another way. It is still not possible to replenish the Steam wallet directly, but the scheme with QIWI and a tenge account is still working.

How to top up your Steam wallet via QIWI:

  1. Register QIWI wallet.
  2. Create an account in tenge (KZT).
  3. Top up your account in rubles for the required amount, laying a reserve for the commission.
  4. Transfer funds to an account in tenge.
  5. Through the search at the top of the page, find “Steam (Kazakhstan)”.
  6. Enter your account login and the required amount in tenge.
  7. Confirm the transfer and wait for the funds in the Steam Wallet.

The list of required operations and the number of upcoming clicks, at first glance, look intimidating, but in fact the process does not take much time. Apparently, it is not necessary to get the status of “Main” for a tenge account – you just need to enter your personal data and increase the level of the ruble wallet. The easiest way to do this is if you have a profile on Gosuslugakh through a special form – you don’t even have to enter anything.

Having received the desired status, it is enough to send funds to a ruble wallet and transfer them to tenge. In this scheme, the most difficult thing is to calculate how much money will eventually end up in Valve’s digital store: after all the manipulations, the author of the material had about ₽342 left from ₽400 due to the conversion of rubles into tenge, tenge into dollars, and dollars back into rubles.

Method number 3: third-party sites

If there is no desire to mess with items or QIWI accounts, you can turn to third-party marketplaces. It should be said right away that this method is associated with the risk of being left without money, Battle Pass 2022, and even without a Steam account, so we recommend using only proven services and carefully choosing sellers.

Those who are not afraid to take risks can get the Battle Pass in one of two ways. The first one is faster and more reliable: pay for the replenishment of the wallet for the required amount. The authors of such offers promise to instantly send money to the specified account if all the conditions are met, which must first be carefully read and made sure that they suit you.

The second option is to buy the deluxe version of the Battle Pass 2022 “on hand”. Such offers have also already appeared on the network, so theoretically a battle pass can be obtained in this way. At the same time, sellers immediately warn that they will be able to transfer the goods only 30 days after adding your profile as a friend on Steam. So in this regard, it’s easier to turn to a familiar foreigner who has long been listed as your friend on Steam. Recall that the gift version will cost almost twice as much as the regular one.
