Lokomotiv forward Artem Dzyuba reacted to the signing of a new contract with the Moscow club.
On Thursday, it was announced that the new contract with the 34-year-old striker will be valid until the end of the 2023/24 season with the possibility of an extension for another year.
– I am glad to sign a new contract with Lokomotiv. Thanks to the management, coaching staff and all the fans for the trust! I will do my best to ensure that next season our team fights for the highest places. Because there are no others for me. I promise we’ll make more noise! Dziuba wrote on social networks.
This season, Dziuba has played 11 matches for the railway workers, in which he scored eight goals.
In November 2022, Dzyuba, by mutual agreement of the parties, terminated the contract with the Turkish club Adana Demirspor, for which he had been playing since August. In February, as a free agent, the striker signed a contract with Lokomotiv until the end of this season.
