RIA Kalmykia – National Guard members from Kalmykia became champions of the department in mini-football

The mini-football championship of the National Guard troops has ended in the Moscow region. The winner was the team of the Southern District, consisting of military personnel and employees of the Office of the Russian Guard for the Republic of Kalmykia.

The tournament, which took place in the city of Elektrostal, was attended by 13 teams from eight districts of the department, four institutes and the division named after F.E. Dzerzhinsky. Football players from Kalmykia beat the Perm Military Institute (6:0) in the quarterfinals, defeated the North Caucasus District (13:1) in the quarterfinals, and defeated the Central District team in the final match (4:0).

“Our victory is the result of the hard work of all the guys, as well as those who helped in the preparation. I can note the very high level of organization of the championship. All the matches were interesting,” shared the captain of the Southern District team, police major Mergen Lidzhiev.

The winners and runners-up received cups, medals and certificates. Police captain Bamba Erenjenov became the top scorer of the competition with 15 goals, and Ochir Shurgchiev was recognized as the best goalkeeper.
