On November 18-19, 2023, the fifth stage of the Russian Figure Skating Grand Prix took place in Samara. The attention of fans from the Upper Volga region was focused on women’s single skating, and their expectations were justified: our compatriot Ksenia Sinitsyna won gold at the tournament.

The girl was born in Tver in 2004, and first appeared on the ice at the age of 4. Then the family moved to Moscow, where Ksenia was sent to the Sokolniki Olympic reserve sports school, and then transferred to Snow Leopards.

Despite her young age – only 19 years old – Ksenia is already a fairly experienced athlete who participated in the 2020 Youth Olympic Games. There she won a silver medal in single skating and gold in the team stage. The girl is trained by Svetlana Panova, Ilona Protasova and Tatyana Moiseeva.

In Samara, Ksenia Sinitsyna became the best in the short and free program, which led to a well-deserved gold.

The victory allowed Ksenia to break into the figure skating elite. The path to triumph was not easy: the young athlete competed with the students of Eteri Tutberidze, Kirill Davydenko and Vadim Fedchenko – coaches of the highest level and class. Let us remind you that Eteri Gogievna’s students are world champions and Olympic winners Evgenia Medvedeva, Kamila Valieva, Alina Zagitova and Yulia Lipnitskaya.
