Dyukov announced plans for the Russian national football team to play several matches in March

The President of the Russian Football Union (RFU), Alexander Dyukov, said on Match TV that the organization is close to an agreement to hold friendly matches for the Russian national team in March 2024.

— Is there any information about a possible opponent for the March break for national team matches?

— We are negotiating with a number of federations, agreements will be reached in the near future. Of course, we want to play some matches in March.

– But you can’t name anyone yet?

– It’s premature. Let’s first come to an agreement and sign the relevant agreements, and then we’ll make an announcement,” Dyukov said on Match TV.

Also, speaking with reporters, the head of the RFU added that the possible holding of matches of the Russian national team in June is being discussed.
