Russian New York Rangers forward Artemy Panarin performed a powerful power move against Washington forward TJ Oshie in the second match of the opening round of the Stanley Cup.

The meeting took place at Madison Square Garden in New York and ended with a score of 4:3 in favor of the hosts. In the third period, with the score 4:2, Panarin used a strong power move against Osha, due to which he ended up on the ice. The judges declared the move clean, but the American had to leave the ice to be checked for a concussion. Oshie was later able to return to the ice and continued playing.

The score in the best-of-five series was 2–0 in favor of the Rangers.
