Fourteen Sochi players were poisoned before the match with Akhmat – April 25, 2024

Before the match of the 21st round of the Russian Football Championship, 14 Sochi players felt unwell. They will have a meeting with Akhmat Grozny. Sochi head coach Robert Moreno announced this on Thursday, April 25, Interfax reports.

“Some people felt nauseous, others had diarrhea. <�…> 14 players and five staff members. These players are dehydrated and are not ready to play,” Moreno said, adding that the team still came to the stadium due to the importance of the competition.

“Several Sochi players now can’t even really move. Unfortunately, we don’t even have anyone to replace them,” the coach said.

“Akhmat” and “Sochi” play on Thursday, April 25, in Grozny as part of the Russian Championship.
