The RFU Ethics Committee will consider the words of Rubin football player Bezrukov about “money on a card” from Krasnodar

The Ethics Committee of the Russian Football Union will evaluate the words of Rubin midfielder Ruslan Bezrukov after the match of the 21st round of the MIR RPL with Zenit, the RFU communications service told Match TV.

On Wednesday, Rubin beat Zenit in the match of the 21st postponed round of the RPL with a score of 2:0. The gap between Krasnodar and the Blue-White-Blues, the leaders of the standings, is now one point. After the game, Bezrukov said on Match TV the phrase: “Krasnodar, we are waiting for money on the card.”

— Regardless of the context and format in which the statement of Rubin football player Ruslan Bezrukov was made, financial stimulation of an opponent by a third party is a gross violation of the principle of fair play and the RFU ethics regulations. Previously, the RFU disqualified the former general director of FC Urozhay, Dmitry Gradilenko, for attempting such actions. In this regard, even “joking” speculations on the topic of financial influence on the result of the match, in our opinion, should be considered by the RFU Ethics Committee. RFU General Secretary Maxim Mitrofanov sent a statement to the ethics committee asking for a legal assessment of the football player’s action, the RFU communications service told Match TV.
