Before the final of the Gagarin Cup had died down, the final series of the Kharlamov Cup moved to Yaroslavl. Just yesterday, the city experienced not just a defeat in the decisive KHL playoff series, but a home fiasco for Igor Nikitin’s team, which lost to Metallurg dryly – 0-4. And now – a new test. SKA-1946 went to Yaroslavl to pick up the cup.

The SKA youth team dominated the final series and quite reasonably expected to finish the season in Yaroslavl. Roman Rotenberg also arrived in this city. The only thing missing was Ivan Demidov. The absolute best player of SKA-1946 was injured in the last game, and he only reminded of his involvement in the team with his jersey hanging over the visiting bench.

In contrast to the loss of Demidov, Loko pulled out a trump card from its sleeve. After the departure of the main team, Daniil But and Dmitry Simashev joined the youth team. The step is predictable on the one hand, and desperate on the other.
