Russian fencers refused to participate in the qualification for the 2024 Olympics

France Press, citing the EFC, wrote that fencers from Russia decided not to participate in the qualifying competitions for the 2024 Olympics.

The EFC reported that the Russians were supposed to come to the competition in Differdange to qualify for the Olympics, but they did not want to take part in them. Giorgio Scarsowho serves as head of the EFC, said the Russian athletes did not explain the reason for the refusal and did not send an official letter of explanation.
