Sports commentator and journalist Dmitry Guberniev responded to the words of the President of the Russian Ski Racing Federation, Elena Vyalbe, about the development of sports in the Russian Federation.
Earlier, Vyalbe, in an interview with Sport24, said that there is a boom in sports in Russia, and the residents of our country have begun to drink less alcohol.
“It’s like that. And drinking much less alcohol, Russians began to dress a little better,” Guberniev wrote in his Telegram channel, recalling the legendary Internet meme with Sveta from Ivanovo.
“To become a truly sports country, we have to work a lot. So many. “Develop children’s and youth sports, stop confusing sports and physical education, actively watch sports, know and love athletes, stop playing with statistics, and most importantly, we need to stop lying to ourselves,” the commentator added.
