Last month, as part of the announcement of the Ryzen 7000 processors, AMD CEO Lisa Su indicated that the new generation of graphics will provide 50% higher performance per watt compared to current solutions (Radeon RX 6000 on RDNA 2).
The Radeon RX 7000 graphics cards are rumored to be the first to use the new multi-chiplet GPU packaging technology. The Navi 3x series GPUs, which will find their place in the Radeon RX 7000 graphics cards, will be manufactured using a 5nm process technology. It is also confirmed that the new generation cards will receive a new generation of Infinity Cache buffer memory.
According to the latest rumors, the flagship Navi 31 graphics chip will have 12,288 stream processors. This is twice as much as the current flagship RDNA 2 architecture Navi 21 chip, which is used in the Radeon RX 6900 XT and Radeon RX 6950 XT video cards.
