Full demo walkthrough:
The new Alone in the Dark is positioned by the creators as a rethinking of the original game, released more than 30 years ago.
The story will be devoted to how in the 1920s, somewhere far in the south of the United States, the uncle of the heroine Emily Hartwood, who was in the Derceto asylum for the mentally ill, goes missing. Together with private detective Edward Carnby, she goes there, becoming a witness to strange events with him. The protagonists will have to face the mysterious inhabitants of the estate, see waking nightmares, fight monsters and try to uncover a conspiracy of evil, being at the intersection of reality, mystery and madness, which will call into question everything they know about themselves. Mikael Hedberg, screenwriter for SOMA and Amnesia: The Dark Descent, is responsible for the story.
