Apple is forced to reduce production of Vision Pro augmented reality glasses due to unsatisfactory sales volumes. This was reported by the Medium portal.
In 2024, Apple intends to deliver another 400-450 thousand Vision Pro instead of 700-800 thousand, as originally planned. Moreover, the company made this decision even before the release of glasses on the international market, while the devices were only available in the United States. The reason for this was sharply falling sales of Vision Pro – the glasses showed a good start, but then demand dropped significantly. As a result, Apple decided to refuse not only part of the supply, but also the new Vision Pro model, which it planned to release in 2025.
Vision Pro are augmented reality glasses, the official start of sales of which took place on February 2. Their recommended price is $3,499 (₽317 thousand). Soon after the release of the device, users began to refuse to purchase due to headaches.
