The editors of Digital Foundry published a video dedicated to the PS5 Pro, which talks about the feature that should distinguish the new model – Ultra Boost mode.
Thanks to it, games should become smoother and clearer. PS5 Pro will increase frame rates, bringing some games to a stable 60 FPS, and improve the screen image through the use of various upscaling technologies.
Citing specific examples, Digital Foundry said that games such as Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, Final Fantasy 16, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora and Immortal of Aveum should see sharper images even in performance mode (currently picture a little blurry).
According to DF, the Ultra Boost feature will allow third-party games to come close to Sony games such as Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, The Last of Us Part 1, The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered and God of War Ragnarok, offering satisfactory performance modes.
The extra power of the PS5 Pro can especially improve games with performance modes, bringing them closer to what quality mode offers.
