Cyberpunk 2077 remains one of the most technically demanding games in the world. So it’s no surprise that the game is often seen as the benchmark for the most powerful hardware on the market. But the modder runs the game on a smartphone.
We are talking about the Lenovo Legion Y70, released in 2022. Inside there is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, complemented by an Adreno 730 graphics chip (Antutu approximately 1.33 million), up to 16 GB of RAM and a 5100 mAh battery. According to the editors of Pixel Gamer 4K, it was enough to configure the Mobox emulator to run Cyberpunk 2077 with high detail in 720p resolution.
Although performance drops to a few frames per second and glitches appear from time to time, it is important to remember that we are talking about an outdated processor and mobile chip. What’s truly impressive is that Cyberpunk 2077 can be played using an on-screen virtual keyboard. The emulator allows you to run Windows on a smartphone running Android. If the detail was minimal and the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 was used, the results could be even better.
