Dean Carter, the director of the massive Fallout: London mod for Fallout 4, said in a short interview with the BBC that Bethesda did not warn their modding team before releasing the next-gen update for Fallout 4, which, in his words, “let us down, to put it mildly.”

The DLC-sized mod, which promised to transport Fallout 4 players to a post-nuclear London, was originally chosen for release on April 23. But plans changed when Bethesda announced that a next-gen update for Fallout 4 would be released on April 25 for next-gen consoles. This forced Fallout: London to postpone its release indefinitely.

Carter explained that the upgrade put all of their four years of work in jeopardy. He thinks Bethesda could contact them and ask them to sign a non-disclosure agreement to keep them in the loop.

While Carter understands that Bethesda may have reservations about working with the modding community, he believes they deserve at least notice given the size and popularity of Fallout: London, which will definitely extend the life of Fallout 4 and could attract new players. interested in exploring post-apocalyptic Britain. There is no information yet about a new release date for Fallout: London, but perhaps the team will be lucky with a fix and won’t have to wait so long.
