Japanese developers from the Capcom studio continue to work on improving the technical component of Dragon’s Dogma 2. Despite positive reviews from the press and players about the exciting gameplay of the action role-playing game, the low performance and the presence of bugs are disappointing. Today’s update to the game addresses the latter issue, eliminating a number of bugs and improving pawn behavior.

Now your pawns won’t foolishly fall off cliffs, dying or losing a significant portion of their health. In addition, pawns should be significantly less likely to be exposed to the dreaded disease, making it easier for players to recognize its symptoms. You can find the full list of changes below:

  • Reduced the incidence of dragon plague infections and changed the signs of pawns infected with dragon plague to be more visible. For example, when infected, glowing eyes will be more noticeable.
  • Added the ability to enlarge the faces of rebels and pawns on the status screen, in shops, etc.
  • Fixed some issues and made changes related to the minimap. Treasure chests that have already been obtained will not appear on the minimap.
  • Changes have been made to the behavior and dialogue of pawns.
  • Fixed issues that would sometimes prevent the player from giving five pawns.
  • Fixed issues where pawns would not begin guiding a player after offering themselves as a guide.
  • Reducing the likelihood of pawns falling off cliffs.
  • Reduced the frequency of some pawn dialogue lines.
  • Improved pawn lines to better suit the circumstances.
  • Fixed some issues where pawns would stop talking outside of combat.
  • Fix some issues where the main pawn speaks the support pawn’s dialogue.
  • Increases the likelihood that pawns will help Arisen if Arisen orders them to help while they are being held by enemies.
  • Reduced the frequency of pawns appearing to offer to hire the player while they are on the battlefield.
  • Fixed issues whereby escort quests would sometimes be considered failed when accessing character editing or in other specific situations.
  • Fixed issues that could cause the player to end up in jail while fighting monsters in the city.
  • Fixes some crashes and freezes under certain circumstances.
  • Correction of various errors.

The new update for Dragon’s Dogma 2 is now available for installation on PC and PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The developers reported that they have already started creating the next patch. Its exact contents have not yet been revealed, but it is expected to focus on improving performance.
