Xiaomi brought a quartet of very cheap quantum dot TVs to Europe. What other vendors in Russia recently asked for from 100 thousand rubles, Xiaomi sells for three times cheaper. The likelihood of new products appearing in Russian retail is very high.

Overpayment is a thing of the past

Xiaomi has opened a new line of very affordable smart TVs TV A Pro 2025 with quantum dot screens, which consists of four models with screens of 43, 55, 65 and 75 inches, writes the portal Gizmochina. The entire quartet is ready for release in Europe, and it is also likely that it can be brought to Russia.

In the Russian market, Xiaomi willingly sells TVs under its own logo – they can be found both in online retail and in traditional chain stores. Thus, there are many chances for the appearance of TV A Pro 2025 in Russia, which cannot be said about the Redmi smart TV, a subsidiary brand of Xiaomi. As CNews reported, in April 2024, major retailers had no plans to add Redmi TV to their range.

The main feature of TV A Pro 2025 is a screen that supports so-called “quantum dots”, QLED. This is a separate layer of the screen, inside of which there are semiconductor nanocrystals that emit light when current passes through them. They make the image brighter.

QLED TVs can be cheap. Proven

For many years, QLED was very actively promoted by Samsung, which had left Russia – the presence of this technology in the case of TVs of this brand automatically increased their cost by at least a third. QLED also has a lot of competing solutions, for example, miniLED – the technology works on a similar principle, and it can be found, for example, in the new 65-inch Sberbank TV, which at the start of sales in April 2024 cost 150 thousand rubles in Russia.

As for TV A Pro 2025 with the same diagonal, in Europe its price is 599 euros or 59.1 thousand rubles. at the Central Bank exchange rate as of April 26, 2024. For 75 inches you will have to pay 799 euros or about 79.9 thousand rubles, for 55 inches – 449 euros (44.3 thousand rubles), and the most affordable in the line is 43-inch Xiaomi priced the TV at only 299 euros (29.5 thousand rubles).

There are almost no differences

In total, there are two main differences between all four representatives of TV A Pro 2025 – price and screen diagonal. Also, the junior 43-inch smart TV received one USB port and a pair of 8-watt speakers, while the remaining trio has two speakers of 10 W each and a pair of USB.

All four new Xiaomi products are equipped with support for 4K resolution or 3840×2160 pixels, also known as Ultra HD. Additional features of the screen include ultra-thin frames, support for more than 1 billion shades, DCI-P3 color space coverage of 94%, and MEMC technology to improve the quality of display of fast-moving objects in the frame. The disadvantages include only the basic (only 60 Hz) refresh rate, but this is due to the low price of the devices. Viewing angles – 178 degrees vertically and horizontally, type of matrix used – IPS.

To compensate for the lack of a developed sound system, Xiaomi has built several sound enhancement technologies into the TV A Pro 2025. The list includes Dolby Audio, DTS:X and DTS Virtual:X Sound, among others.

The software component of the new products is classic Android with an additional shell

The frame of the TVs is made of metal, there is a double stand, it can be placed on the wall.

What is inside

In terms of the smart component, TV A Pro 2025 is quite standard smart TVs for the 2024 model year. All models are based on an unnamed 4-core ARM processor based on Cortex A55 cores – not the fastest, but at the same time not the weakest. The processor is complemented by built-in dual-core Mali G52 MP2 graphics and is paired with 2 GB of RAM, including in the younger model. The volume of the built-in storage is absolutely tiny – only 8 GB.

and Wi-Fi (2.4/5 GHz), three HDMI ports, one or two USB ports depending on the model, composite input (AV), Ethernet for wired Internet and optical audio output.

The TV runs on Android – this is evidenced by the presence of the Google voice assistant, which, we note, understands Russian since the summer of 2018. The delivery set includes a control panel that works via Bluetooth.
