Three years after its premiere, the action-RPG Biomutant, combining elements of post-apocalypse, kung fu and fantasy, is preparing to be released on Nintendo Switch. On the occasion of the imminent release, THQ Nordic showed the gameplay of the new version.

Published on the THQ Nordic YouTube channel, a four-minute excerpt of Biomutant gameplay on Nintendo Switch shows the combat system, travel by land, air and sea, as well as a clash with the three-headed Pig Snout.

As THQ Nordic notes, the video was recorded in TV mode, where the game runs at “stable” 30 fps and dynamic resolution 1080p. The portable option offers similar performance at 720p.

The audience was impressed by what they saw. Judging by the published video, Biomutant does indeed run relatively stable on the Nintendo Switch. Not least thanks to the obvious graphical compromises.

“Wow! The team clearly sold their souls to the devil in order to achieve such a high and stable frame rate.”“,” user robohorseWOT appreciated the efforts of Saber Interactive.

Still from the new video

Biomutant will be released on Nintendo Switch on May 14th, complete with the Mercenary Loadout add-on. Pre-orders are open in the Nintendo eShop digital store (20% discount), but not in the Russian service region.

Biomutant debuted in May 2021 on PC, PS4 and Xbox One, and in the fall of 2022 the game appeared on PS5, Xbox Series X and S. Despite mixed reviews, the project paid for itself in the first week, and sales eventually exceeded 1 million copies .
